- Travel documents needed for non-residents of Costa Rica require a passport valid for the duration of your stay. Additionally a return or onward ticket and proof of
 sufficient funds of $100 USD per month for the proposed stay. For Canadian travellers,

- Currency in Costa Rica is Costa Rican colon. 
  U.S. dollars are widely accepted but it is suggested to carry some local currency.
