Where is Dominican Republic located?

The Dominican Republic is located on the island of Hispaniola and is bordered by Haiti. It is located between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Resorts in Punta Cana and La Romana will border the Caribbean Sea while Puerto Plata borders the Atlantic Ocean.

What is the weather like in the Dominican Republic?

Temperatures range from 27 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celisus during the tropical months, while during the winter months it can fall to 18-23 degrees Celsisus. At any time in the year, if it rains, it is usually for short periods of time.

Is it safe to drink tap water at the resorts?

Water in the DR is not purified and therefore not safe to drink. Always use bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth. Bathing is safe. Most resorts use purified water and ice cubes at their restaurants and bars. It is always best to ask and not assume prior to consuming water at the resort.
